R.I.P Uncle Dan.
I guess I should elaborate on the whole Florida vacation comment. And I will... soon. First let me catch everyone up on what I have been up to the past 10 days since I have updated. I'll start with Sunday.

Sunday night I had an all staff meeting for the YMCA. I wasn't thrilled, especially because it started at 5:30 and ended at 7:30, but I decided on going. Most of the School Age staff met at the Annex (building down the hill from the main Y for School Age) before the meeting. I rode with Kristine, Ms. Marshall, and Diana. On the way home from the meeting (and btw, Kristina drove her husband's black Chevy Tahoe) we all had a hell of a lot of fun. Kristine was playing Sean Paul & Beyonce and after I turned on the bass in the back, we were having so much fun. lol. I know it sounds lame, but we were being girls.

So yeah that was exciting.

Tuesday was supposed to be my mid-term for my Early Childhood class, but I ended up not taking it because Charlie's Great-Uncle died, and I needed to be there for the family. So my professor excused me from the exam. I'll be taking it sometime soon.

Anyways...

Yesterday was the funderal. Charlie and I both took off of work to be there. The ceremony was nice, the flowers were beautiful. After the ceremony, Charlie went to hug his Nan (it was her brother who had died) and they both started crying. I have never seen Charlie cry with someone else besides me, so it was really something amazing for me to see. And right at that moment, I had realized that Charlie was probably thinking the same thing I was.

We've discussed it before, too. See Charlie's Nan practically raised him. Everyday after school, he was at his Nan and Pop Pop's. Even on the weekends he was there. So she is like his second mother. And he'll be so lost when she dies. I don't think he'll know what to do with himself when she does. I just hope she's there for our wedding and our first child. Ya know? Because she's like my grandmother as well. Over the past two years, Charlie's family has been wonderful to me and I coudln't feel more blessed.

So anyways, after the funeral we went to the reception (?) at the Pump House in Hackettstown, NJ. There was a whole buffet of gourmet foods and get this... An open bar. They really went all out for this one. I just hope when I die someone goes all out for me.

So yeah, this has been my week... Oh! And about the Florida thing.

A couple weeks ago Charlie came home and said his Mom, Aunt, Sister, and Nan were all going to Orland, FL (again) in April. So of course we usually watch his Aunt Cathy's house while they're gone. I said okay and that was that. Well.. On Tuesday night while we were visiting his Nan, we were at his Mom's and she says to me, "So you're going to Florida with us, right?" I'm thinking, "WHAT?!" Apparently, Charlie's Mom had asked if we wanted to go and he said no.

Can you believe that??? He said no. What a dork! So after long convincing, I think we might we going too. And I sure hope so because I needed a friggin' vacation.

*sigh*

So there you have it.

Have a good Friday!
